Scarborough vs York City
Kick Off 1.00 PM (All Ticket Game)
City will try to continue their recent return to form at a side that has suffered five defeats in a row and is quickly being drawn into the relegation dogfight.
Team News
For City, boss Billy McEwan is likely to maintain a similar line up to the one that has gained 4 points out of 6 over the Festive period so far. One enforced change will be at centre back, with David McGurk recalled by Darlington. James Dudgeon is the only option so expect the former Scarborough player to form an ex - Boro alliance with Mark Hotte in defence. Jamie Price is still unfit so it is possible Lee Andrews will continue at right back. The Carlisle defender is currently on loan, and with McEwan seemingly not rating youngster Graeme Law, he will be likely to extend that loan spell. Evan Horwood limped off against Morecambe and will probably be unfit, so last season's Player of the Year Dave Merris could start.
For Scarborough, player - manager Neil Redfearn is hoping to make a number of signings once the transfer window re opens, so some of these could be ready in time for this derby match. Boro were defeated on Friday night by a well below par Halifax team, without looking likely to score. Keeper Leigh Walker was recalled for the game and is likely to continue following a good performance. Loanee midfielder Lee Fowler has picked up 5 yellow cards and is likely to be suspended for the game.
