DMN's Scarborough Pub Guide
For those starting from the train station the starting place is:

Wetherspoons - Located at the top of the high street offers cheap beer and food. But please note you have to be on DSS to be allowed to drink in the downstairs section.

Then its over the road to Murray's Music Bar - THE place to be seen in Scarborough these days (though that's not saying much at all.....).

Next up is the Old Vic - Located on Falsgrave Road (turn left outside of the rail station and you can see it). A nice pub with a nice atmosphere and some nice food. In general, its nice.

For those coming by car and parking near the ground our next pub further down Falsgrave Road is the perfect starting place.

The Tap and Spile - Scarborough CAMARA pub of the year third place it offers at least 8 real ales at anyone time. A bit of a trek from the ground (about 10 minutes) you'll be guaranteed to be served faster than in the Scarborough Flyer (which is the nearest pub to the ground). The Tap and Spile also remains the only pub in Scarborough I've been thrown out of, but I keep going back so it must be good.

For those wanting to sample some classic Scarborough cuisine the Red Dragon all you can eat Chinese is located the other side of the road from the Tap and Spile and on a Tuesday offers all you can eat for £4 per person.

Directions to the Tap and Spile:

From the ground head towards the town centre past the Scarborough Flyer to the first set of traffic lights and follow the road round (it has a petrol station on the left half way down). When you come to a big junction with traffic lights you should be able to see the Red dragon restaurant in front. The Tap and Spile is opposite that.

From the Train Station turn left and keep going down the road. Safeway marks the halfway mark between the Station and the Pub.
