Gravesend and Northfleet vs York City
Saturday 19th August 2006 3.00 PM
Stonebridge Road
TEAM NEWS
York City
- Billy McEwan will name an unchanged team from the side that played most of the Stevenage game, as City attempt to make it two wins out of two on the road
- That means that Nathan Peat will be dropped and utility player Anthony Lloyd will play at left back
- Two new signings could be added to the squad: attacking midfielder Lewis McMahon (ex Notts County) and Welsh under 21 defender Danny Parslow (ex Cardiff). Trialist striker Jack Wilkinson is still injured which leaves City a bit light up front
- The former Scarborough player Simon Weaver has left the club and signed for strugglers Tamworth
- City's record at Stonebridge Road: P2 W0 D1 L1 F2 A6
Gravesend and Northfleet
- Peter Hawkins, the former York City loan player, misses the game as he was sent off in the 3-2 defeat against Aldershot. Another left sided player, Sacha Opinel, is also suspended so the Fleet have a crisis at left back
- During the summer, boss Liam Daish brought in ex Grays man Mark DeBolla, Hawkins and several other players with Conference experience
