I remember back in the summer we had a good discussion about the Premiership including a lot of talk about West Ham. Over half way now in the premiership season and there are a couple of main surprises:
- Arsenal, 5th in the Premiership at the moment, behind Spurs. It seems as if they have been “found out” and teams come and rough them up now. The physical presence of Patrik Vieira has certainly been missed and Ashley Cole has sat a lot of the season out on the sidelines through injury. However I can see them being the force they were in their unbeaten season again under Wenger when they have talent like Van Persie and Fabregas and hopefully they can keep Henry.
- Wigan, 6th in the Premiership, League cup finalists! They come out and have a go at teams and play good football, Paul Jewell has done a fantastic job.
If you look at years gone by in the Premiership I doubt this will go down as one of the most exciting ones, Chelsea have won the league already and one team are down in the Championship next year as well. |

Wigan have done a fantastic job. They have a good squad with players like Pollitt, Roberts and Bullard all on top form. They certainly deserve to be in the Carling Cup final.

Lets hope Arsenal keep dropping off,the diving cheating southeners.
Paul Jewell is surely the manager of the season so far.

I like to see Arsenal doing well, they are the most entertaining side to watch by far.

Getting beat every other week can not be entertaining.

Who would you rather watch then, Chelsea or Arsenal? One thing you can't accuse Arsenal of is being boring or un-creative and for that I think they deserve some credit.

Arsenal are the most creative side in the Premiership on their day... they've just been off-colour this season without some key players. I don't see this slump lasting too long. |
