What do you think was the best era of music?
Could be Elvis in the 60's and with Lennon and McCarthey taking the world by Storm with comparitive ease!
The 70's with the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin?
80's including Michael Jackson's "Thriller Album" as well as "Another Brick in the wall" by Pink Floyd.
1990's starting with Grunge Band Nirvana then Oasis's massive suceess with there platinum selling albums, or the POP Groups with Boyzone and Take That?
Or the 2000's including Westlife , and the arrival of American Indie Music to these shores?
Which era do you prefer? |

A lot of bands, especially recent ones span accross 1990/2005 over the two decades so it was hard. Most of the albums though are 2000+ so I will put that one.
I like the attempts of wannabe YY mods maybe something to do with York City next time
At the moment TommiHird is doing the best job. Anyway, keep trying.

1990's, no question. Oasis, Blur, Stone Roses, The Verve...Robbie
Don't care much for the Beatles or anything out of the 70's. 80's were fair good, The Smiths, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Weller!
New era however is total garbage, all these wuss bands like The Kasier Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol. And all we hear now is 50 Cent rapping about how much money he has and things like The Pussycats slutting it up on the radio. Although Oasis's albums have been incredible in my opinion this decade they aren't era changing like Morning Glory, Be Here Now and Definitely Maybe. We need a few good bands to come out with some great albums and keep the consistency up. |

In this country, this current age of music is disgusting.
Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Coldpay?
They're the sorts of bands that play good music, that isn't good to listen to. It's depressing, and boring, and it's all been done before. Soon, all your English and American bands will run out of new ideas, and music will start to be done on the computer, like some of my DJ's and bands are. |

It's not music when done on the PC, IMO. Takes away the talent of being a "musician" and also the characters that peform. How can you see them play "live"?

90s by some way. New Order were great but there weren't many other great bands in the 80s. In 1996 even pop music sounded good.

You get a team of strong males to drag a Packard Bell onto the stage and a further, weedy male to set it up. The real question is, how can a PC stage-dive?
