Hello Webmasters,
I have a PM that I thought I had sent, but on checking I find that it is in the Outbox rather than the Sentbox. Has this PM been sent ? If not how do I send it from the Outbox.
thanks,
PARISMATCH

I'm not a mod/admin on here, but I think it means the PM has been sent, but the person you sent it to hasn't read it yet. When they do it'll be moved to your sentbox.

Solution is:

Phone the person you sent the PM to and say "Oi, you, check yer inbox".

They then check the inbox and phone you back and say "Thanks for the message, I'll send you a PM in response".

Don't phone to thank me, just send a PM! Wink

When the person you sent the pm to logs on, he/she should receive a pop up saying there is a message in their inbox, plus the info at the top of the screen (next to the log in/out box) should also indicate there is a message waiting for them.

I'm not sure, but I think the pm moves from your outbox to your sent box once they log on regardless of it having been read.

Or Alternatively you could do what all the Young Yorkies on here do and just ignore the PM facility and post a message for the attention of your mate on City chat or General chat so we can all read it.

(ie see http://yorkcityfc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=321881#321881 ) Very Happy

My PM system hasn't worked for some time, I sent our owner a message about it on 25th November, I may as well have asked the Trust board for a response.

If any of his moderators/slavish apologists are reading this I no longer get an email when I've had a PM although it's set up to send me one in my profile, I know the new message sign at the top is easy to miss as I've done it myself, I have 3 messages in my outbox, plus people asking questions about how it's supposed to work on here, so I guess it's not just me.

Firstly apologies for actually having a life away from this pantheon of wit and good manners... Rolling Eyes

I will put it in the huge "to do pile" that I am working through, unfortunately the tenor of your above comments suggest that I will be prioritising the polite requests first. Evil or Very Mad

How the other members of the Mod/Admin team respond is up to them, but given you have insulted all of us, don't hold your breath...

So here's the deal: I send a private message to our glorious leader telling him that the PM system isn't working properly almost two weeks ago, he receives the message, read up (yes, that's how it works, he read it I know he did !!), but decides not to act, I leave it at that knowing that the job is done voluntarily and he may very well have better things to do, all of a sudden other people start to wonder what's happening with their PM's and a new thread if started to discuss the situation, a nd I suggest that he's known about it for some time. No you're right, it's all my fault for pointing it out.

ditto...

back to unimportant things like the National Breast Cancer Foundation and NSW Board of Studies matters methinks. Rolling Eyes

P.S. ToTP, there is NO problem with our PM function, maybe your POP3 account has decided the emails are spam...unfortunately I don't have time to turn grey, go bald and develop a peptic ulcer on your behalf with your ISP.

Acerbic comments are only effective when they are predicated on factual accuracy, rather than pyrrhic, paranoid supposition.

Just so that your comments do not mislead people in future, I may acknowledge the existence of PM by clicking the pop up, hence you misguidedly think I have actually read it, but as I receive many, many PMs I tend to read and action them in blocks. Especially when I have important things that I am already working on.

So apologies in advance to anyone else who thinks I am ignoring them, I generally do get around to answering everyone as soon as possible.

Finally ToTP, the agenda you and others seem to like to run with is, well, tedious at best and I have been made aware by other forum users, somewhat intimidating. Interestingly the more it happens the less people post, so a big well done there!

As it is generally aimed at me, rest assured, I couldn't give a fark, so you are only hurting other City fans who, like Mark, probably are also losing the will to live when they are confronted with the "Glorious Leader", "Bring back Phil" bobbins...nice one. Rolling Eyes

Right, back to Women's' Health and Children's' Education, if that is alright with you? Confused

I take that as a bite! Wink

Its not the topic of the thread that makes me want to end it all - its the fact that folk get so worked up about it. "More things in heaven and earth, Horatio" - and all that.

Now bug off - I am busy trying to find my zest for life again. Down the back of the sofa probably - thats where most things end up........

Could you not have sent me a pm to say that

b***h Wink

EDIT!!!!

I cannot believe that the word B I T C H is censored but some of these ARE NOT.

sh*t
piss
ar*e
bollock
knob
c*ck

Very Happy

Surely piss bollock and knob are worse words than a female dog?

I say the mods are being sexist not allowing us to say the femail dog word and would pm the owner of the board to complain but he ignores pms!!!
