Monty Panesar was racially abused during England's match against New South Wales in Sydney on Sunday, England have confirmed.
Sydney's Daily Telegraph alleged that a member of the crowd called the Sikh spinner a "stupid Indian".
"We were asked by the paper to confirm if the incident took place and we have done," a team spokesman told BBC Sport.
"We will continue to monitor the situation, but we're not going to make an official complaint at this stage."
The England and Wales Cricket Board spokesman also confirmed that Panesar and batsman Kevin Pietersen, who was born in South Africa, were abused in England's opening tour match in Canberra last week.
A spokesman for the Sydney Cricket Ground said security officials had not been made aware of any racial abuse on Sunday - the first day of England's three-day warm-up match - and that only three people had been ejected for being intoxicated.

Were there for a few days and there abusing our players already and it was not even a test match.

Don't worry Tony says it is great place and there is ABSOLUTELY NO RACISM so that's ok then...

I wouldn't get too bothered about that.
I'll be calling plenty of their players 'stupid Aussies' and and I'm sure I'll get far worse back.
The main difference is the English deliver their insults with some humour.

Must be a hell of an illness. poor bugger, he will be missed on this tour.
Will that be the end of Trescothick in Test Cricket - no point picking a player who won't tour, and has a fragile mental state.
You can imagine the kind of sledging Trescothick would have been subjected to by the Aussies given the nature of his health problem.
Cook must now be given the permanent opener's position next to Strauss, and give Bell a long run @ No.3.
Chuffed for Colly though - that said this will be Colly's last chance saloon at no.6 as ever. It's a very difficult job trying to protect our poor tail, and he gets little credit for the success he has in such a tricky role.

My only fear is that Monty may make way for bloody Giles
although in my mind Monty has done enough - and worked hard enough - to convince even Fletcher that he deserves to keep his place.
Any ideas for replacement batsmen?wise money must be on Robert KEY !!! or could Owais Shah be given a chance to build on his impressive test debut?
Or, will they wait for Vaughan in the 3rd test??

While I'm sorry about Tres's illness, I'm glad he won't be playing.
I'm a big fan of Cook - he's real class, also Colly should now play - he's the best fielder we've got, a decent bat, useful containing bowler and he'll give the convicts loads of grief (what more could we ask for)
Agree about Monty and Giles - it's got to be Monty - we need wickets and Giles is too defensive.

When you look at it Oz have batting quality coming out of the ears. case inpoint is Jacques - not even fifth in line on the bench. Even Hussey took years to break into the side. The saving grace is that our attack looks better - if that is, it fires and stays fit. Despite all his problems they'll still be worrying about Harmy, IMO he should be bowling alot faster out there even if it means he's a tad more erratic, the bouncy nature of their pitches should cause problems. I'd like to see them rattled, they were besides themselves when Ponting and Langer took blows early in the series last time
The series could depend on how he and Fred perform with the ball.
Has anyone any doubts about Jones in the side, there is every chance we will play probably 2 spinners in at least 2 tests which means the keeper will get, and must take, stumping chances.
It is in this area I feel Jones falls a long way behind Read.

Maybe there were just asking him if he fancied a game of kabaddi
Normally I can't stand Robbie Williams but he was dead right when he said that Cricket was just "Baseball on Valium"

I'd have played Read ahead of Jones, but I don't think there's that much between them.
Read is probably a better keeper and Jones is probably a slightly better bat.
Jones couldn't stump XLB.
