Does anyone know what to expect?? I've seen a photo and it looks a very shallow stand, we'll be packed in there with the 600+ we're likely to take.

We took 250 and it looked fullish in the half we were in.

It's a bit concrete city in style. Think about the Chester away end behind the goal (the terraced bit) and you've got the right idea. Kind of a strange sandy textured pit between the pitch and the stand too.

Here's a photo I took looking down the away end:

I see it managed to cope pretty well with Scarborough's massive away following.

Must admit it does look pretty tiny.

I remember the Hull game at Boothferry park in our first or second season in our last spell in division 3. The one when Rob Matthews scored but the ref had already blown for half time. It finished 0-0 and I think about 300 York fans were turned away even though it wasn't all ticket, there was uproar on radio Humberside after the game. I think our attendance that day was about 700/750 in the 'safeway stand'. If we're expecting 600 to go to Burton as Mouse says then there must be an issue here? Confused

The ground holds 6,500 and the crowd for this game will be about 1,600 so I think we'll just about all get in somewhere with 5,000 empty spaces.

What I want to know is why does that small boy has a fear of balloons? In terms of the away end, it looks pretty crap but I would imagone they must also have some seating allocated to away fans. I would have thought an away following of 800 was not out of the question with the form the team is in at the minute so hopefully Burton can be a little pro-active and build in some kind of contingency. It should be a cracking day!

There are also a set of seats in one of the side stands for away fans according to www.footballgroundguide.co.uk

I don't see any reason why we can't fill the terrace.

As a Burton fan who doesn't make it to many games for obvious reasons. i.e. living in East Asia, the new ground isn't as good a craic as the old one . And the away end is a bit crap, but it was good enough for the friendly with Man City and they brought 23000, or so they claim. Sorry for the crap joke, but as you had to put up with the 'massive' Man City in division 3 you know how big headed their fans are. To tell the truth they brought one old git and 5 Macc lads and lost 3-2, but being the biggest club in East Manchester the game wasn't important.
Man U and Man City fans are as bad as each other, only one lot have southern accents
