So now that England have qualified for the World Cup (much to the anger of some Wink ) How do you think we will get on when Germany comes along next year?

Personally, we have a chance of winning but, I can't see us beating Brazil as there star quality is just immense.

Quarter Finals at least, but most would expect more, so they should as we have one of the best squad's behind Brazil.

If I'm honest, I think we have the best squad and team in the world. It's down to Sven and Beckham really I think. If Sven puts in some passion and Beckham leads the team I think we will win. Rooney is the key, without him we have no creativity. Even though we have the best squad, we have no one else like him.

My prediction - Winners

England have one of the best squads in the world, and certainly do have the ability to win it

However, they won't because Brazil will.

There will be a few surprises I think, Serbia & Montenegro could be the dark horses, as well as Croatia and the Ivory Coast.

Don't know anything about Serbia or the Ivory Coast, but Serbia must be a half decent team to keep Spain off the top!

And not concede any goals until 2 matches before the end of the group stages.

Englands world cup chances are to go down the drain i think with Sven Goran Eriksson as manager. We have enough talent in the england squad to mwin the cup, although other teams such as Spain, Italy and Brazil will put up a good fight wen we reach the kncokout stages (if we do) my prediction is we'll end up in the semi final and get screwed over by a ref

No, although they do have the easiest team on paper to beat in the play-offs.

IMO, it's the GOOD teams on paper that have little chance of winning, like Spain and Portugal. The GREAT teams on paper:

Brazil
Argentina
England
Italy

.....plus maybe Holland have a decent chance of winning, but I think we know who will probably win it anyway(Brazil).

The unfashionable teams like Croatia, Serbia, Mexico etc. have a good chance of causing 'upsets', because basically no one knows any of their players, because you're too obsessed at looking at David Beckam's ar*e.
