Where is the source of this Liam?

Zinedine Zidane-No way, what on earth did he do last year? He was retired from the international stage, and didn't exactly light up La Liga. There are several other players who could have been in the midfield instead of him. What about Kaka?

Dida-Ridiculous. Petr Cech, and Iker Casillas were a lot better last year than he was. He made a mess of the CL final for Milan, whereas Cech and Casillas both had brilliant seasons for their clubs.

Some others are a bit dodgy-Paolo Cannavaro was better than Nesta last season, as was Sami Hyypia, and what about Jamie Carragher?

I think it should be:

4-5-1

Petr Cech

Cafu
John Terry
Alessandro Nesta
Ashley Cole/Del Horno

Joe Cole
Ronaldinho
Claude Makelele
Steven Gerrard
Cristiano Ronaldo

Hernan Crespo

Makelele would play just infront of the defence.

What would everyone elses be?

You wouldn't have been more wrong! Tommi a Liverpool Fan!

Hyypia is a great defender, wins a lot in the air and chips in with an occasional goal.

I don't think Terry's that special. He's the captain of a great team and his only real weakness is pace. However, in terms of natural ability I wouldn't even say he's as good as Woodgate. He's older than him but didn't get his first England cap until 2003 and didn't look like world class talent. Woodgate could be one of the very best, with no weakness, if he weren't always crocked.

Would certainly add some bulk into the defence.

When he's fit only those three can keep him out of the team.
