Joint partnership by City and the Knights for Knights V Keighley match
York City FC and York City Knights have formed a unique partnership for the Knights home game with Keighley Cougars on Sunday 3rd July when supporters will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the game from the Football club’s ticket office at Kit Kat Crescent.
The Knights are currently sitting proudly at the top of National League Division 2 and have been enjoying excellent crowds. In a bid to increase these further and also to help York City Football Club York City’s ticket office will sell tickets and the football club will receive £5 for every £10 ticket that they sell.
York City Supporters Trust board member David Potter said “we do hope that City fans who have not supported the Knights this season will buy their ticket from the football club and then go along to this match with the knowledge that by supporting the Knights they also will be helping the football club financially”
Pete Salter, Commercial Manager of the Knights believes that this scheme will not only help both clubs financially but could also be the start of a long term working relationship. He says “It is great to see the two clubs working together and can only benefit the city as a whole. We hope that many City fans will support the Knights at this game and enjoy their first taste of rugby league”.
Tickets will be available for the match from the ticket office, Kit Kat Crescent from Monday 20th June until Friday 1st July priced £10. Postal applications should include cheques made payable to York City Knights addressed to Jean Wilson, Ticket Office York City Football Club Kit Kat Crescent YORK YO30 7AQ. Fans can also buy their tickets in person by cheque or cash at the ticket office, which is open during normal office hours on weekdays.
If successful it is hoped that this partnership will be repeated for future Knights matches
